On Friday, November 6th the Annual Rivals Cup at Pelican Hill netted over $100,000 for Kure It! Each year USC and UCLA supporters come together to raise money for the cause founded by Barry Hoeven in 2007 after his diagnosis with kidney cancer. Funds directly support cancer research and Kure It Cancer Research’s mission, “Together We Can Eradicate Cancer.” To date, Kure It has raised more than $10 million for cancer research at leading cancer centers.

It was our pleasure to get behind this important cause. We placed Aston Martins on the golf course as tempting eye candy for the golfers as they played their rounds. In addition, Aston Martin Newport Beach proudly provided an Aston Martin as a hole-in-one prize but with no winners, Aston Martin Newport Beach raffled off a weekend driving experience for two. The raffle was won by Tim Johnston and Brian LaLonde. Congratulations guys!

The Rivals Cup-winning foursome included Anaheim Ducks star Ryan Getzlaf, retired professional hockey player Scottie Upshall, PJ McKaig, and Hossein Karmini. Each winning golfer was presented with an official trophy to take home.

The annual event successfully sold out with 144 participants. We hope to see you all again next year!

*Because of COVID-19 concerns, tee times were staggered, with every golfer receiving their own cart with a cooler and a boxed lunch.
